ServicesHardscape Installation
Hardscape Installation in Casselberry
We build paver patios, walkways, pool decks and low retaining walls that stay flat and drain the right way. You get a clear plan, a written estimate and a straight answer about what your yard needs before any digging starts.

Outdoor space that holds up to rain and sand
Hardscape is the solid part of your yard: pavers, stone, edging and walls. Done well, it gives you a patio you actually use and a walkway that stays level. Done poorly, it sinks, shifts and holds puddles within a couple of rainy seasons.
Almost every failure we get called to fix traces back to what is underneath. Central Florida soil is mostly sand, and summer storms dump a lot of water fast. A patio needs a dug-out area, a compacted base, edge restraint and a slight slope away from your home. We spend most of our effort on those steps because they decide how the surface looks five years from now.
We are a family-owned company, business licensed and fully insured, so the crew working in your backyard is covered and accountable.
What a hardscape job includes
- Paver patios and seating areas
- Concrete pavers or travertine laid in the pattern you choose, sized for how you plan to use the space. We mark the outline on the ground first so you can see the footprint before we dig.
- Walkways and garden paths
- Paths from the driveway, side gate or back door, built wide enough to walk comfortably and edged so the pavers do not creep into the grass.
- Pool deck pavers
- Cooler-surface pavers around the pool, set with the right slope so water heads toward the drains instead of toward your home.
- Low retaining walls and raised beds
- Segmental block walls that hold back soil on a grade or create raised planting beds. Taller walls may need engineering or a permit, and we will tell you up front if yours does.
- Fire pit pads and borders
- A paver pad and block fire pit ring, or simple paver borders that separate beds from lawn. These pair well with our mulch and beds work.
- Base, drainage and cleanup
- Excavation, compacted base rock, bedding sand, edge restraint and polymeric joint sand are part of every install. We haul away the dug-out soil and leave the area raked and swept.
Signs it is time for new hardscape
Pavers that rock or sink
Loose or sunken pavers usually mean the base washed out or was never compacted. Resetting a few can work, but a large area often needs the base rebuilt.
Puddles that sit after rain
Standing water on a patio or against your foundation points to a slope problem. We regrade the base so water runs off and away.
Weeds and ants in every joint
Joints filled with plain sand wash out and invite weeds and ant mounds. Polymeric sand and a tight base cut way back on both.
Cracked concrete slabs
An old slab with wide cracks or heaved sections can be removed and replaced with pavers, which flex with the ground instead of cracking.
A worn path through the grass
If everyone cuts the same route across the lawn, a walkway there will look better than bare dirt and keep shoes clean.
What moves the cost of hardscape
Price comes down to size, materials and what it takes to build a solid base on your lot. We itemize the estimate so you can see where the money goes and adjust the plan if you want. Financing is available up to $100,000 on 2 to 12 year terms, with no prepayment penalties.
Square footage and shape
Bigger areas cost more, and curves or many corners add cutting time and waste compared with a simple rectangle.
Paver material
Standard concrete pavers, larger-format pavers and natural travertine all price differently. We can show samples side by side.
Removal and site prep
Tearing out an old slab, roots or failing pavers adds labor and disposal. A low spot that needs fill or a slope that needs leveling adds base material.
Access to the backyard
Narrow side yards or fenced lots can mean moving material by wheelbarrow instead of machine, which takes longer.
Walls, steps and permits
Retaining walls, steps and any required permit or engineering are priced as separate lines so nothing is buried.
How your project runs
- 1
On-site walkthrough
We meet you at your home, measure the space, check how water moves across the yard and talk through materials. You get a free estimate in writing with each part of the job listed.
- 2
Layout, approvals and permits
We finalize the design and paver choice with you. If your HOA needs to approve the plan or the project requires a permit, we help with the paperwork and pull the permit ourselves.
- 3
Excavation and base
We dig to the right depth, lay base rock in layers and compact each one with a plate compactor. This is the slow, unglamorous day, and it matters most.
- 4
Laying and finishing
Pavers go down on a screeded sand bed, edges get cut clean, and restraint is pinned in. We sweep in polymeric sand, mist it to set, then clean the surface and haul away debris.

Hardscape questions we hear most
Are pavers better than poured concrete for a patio?
For most yards here, yes. Pavers flex slightly with sandy soil, so they shift instead of cracking, and a single damaged paver can be lifted and replaced. Concrete can cost less up front but is harder to repair once it cracks.
How long does a patio installation take?
A typical patio or walkway takes a few days on site once materials arrive. Larger jobs, retaining walls or slab removal add time, and heavy rain can pause base work. We give you a realistic schedule at the estimate.
Will the work damage my lawn or irrigation?
We flag sprinkler lines and heads before digging and protect the lawn along our access path. If a line runs through the new patio area, we reroute it as part of the job, and our irrigation crew can adjust the zone afterward.
Do I need a permit for a paver patio?
Many simple patios and walkways do not, but some retaining walls and work near property lines can. Rules vary between Casselberry and nearby towns like Winter Springs and Oviedo, so we check for your address and pull the permit if one is required.
Can you add planting and lighting around the new patio?
We can plan beds, sod and plant borders to go with your hardscape. If you want the whole yard thought through at once, our landscape design service lays out patio, plantings and paths together.
